Characterization of Drug Aerosols

The characterization of aerosols produced by MDI’s (metered dose inhalers) and other inhalers is an important problem due to their widespread use in treating asthma and other respiratory diseases. Powerscope is currently developing a new technology to characterize both the size and chemical properties of the aerosols generated by inhalers. The results of this development will be instrumentation to allow for more efficient inhaler manufacturing, faster development of new inhaler devices and also creation of more advanced aerosols leading to better treatment options.
