Aerosol Generators
Powerscope is working on several innovative aerosol generator technologies. Three of the most prominent are the following:
Electrospray Nano-Aerosol Generator
This low-cost electrospray based generator uses a high voltage to break a liquid into a high density aerosol. Mean particle size from less than 30nm to over a micron is achievable.
Microjet™ Aerosol Generator
This device produces a fine stream of aerosol droplets out of the end of a hollow needle. The main advantage is that aerosols can be introduced into confined spaces. Microjet is presently being used to introduce aerosols into the eyes during various eye surgeries.
Impaction Dome Jet Nebulizer
This disposable low-cost jet nebulizer can produce deep submicron aerosols in very high number concentrations (>10^7/cc). It is presently being used for preclinical studies using rodent animal models.
